Attention to detail is also important as complex processes/issues will often need to be worked through to ensure procedures are followed correctly and clients remain well informed and happy. Resilience is a must, as occasionally things may not go to plan! Our friendly team of 15+ staff will offer support and training to the successful candidate, but individuals should also be confident to take responsibility for their own learning and development.

This is a 12-month, fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. Hours of work will be 25 per week,3.00pm – 8.00pm Monday – Friday, plus weekend on call duty and Bank Holidays on a rota basis. Senior Veterinary Surgeon
40 hours per week including one week end in three
Maternity cover for 12 to 15 months
Abington Park Veterinary Group have a vacancy for a senior veterinary surgeon to work alongside the existing team to provide care through excellence across our three busy first opinion and referral practices.
The practice has numerous certificate holders in various disciplines and has an excellent in-house laboratory allowing gold standard evaluations. These include, but are not limited to blood gas, primary and secondary coagulation, d-dimers, osmolality, ketones, ammonia and bile acid. Video endoscopy, advanced doppler ultrasound and digital radiology are also available on site with access to CT and MRI scanning.
Candidates must be MRCVS registered (or eligible for registration), have 3 – 5 years relevant experience, excellent English communication skills are also required.
The working pattern will be 40 hours per week working a mixture of early and late shifts Monday to Friday. You will work one week end in three and be given time off during the week to compensate.

Registered Veterinary Nurse – Surgical Team
40 hrs per week average, salary £19k – £21k per annum (dependent on experience)
Our dedicated and professional teams at our busy 1st opinion and referral practices within Abington Park Veterinary Group are committed to delivering excellent service. Work will shortly begin to extend our existing Moulton site enabling us to offer advanced imaging along with our medical and surgical referral service, so it is an exciting time to come on board.
We are looking for a nurse to join our Moulton practice to support our existing surgical and first opinion teams. The preferred candidate will be a committed, enthusiastic, and hard-working RVN who is a strong team player keen to improve their surgical skills. This position includes emergency work, critical care nursing and the opportunity to assist in a range of surgical procedures, advanced orthopaedics (total hip replacements, TPLOs, fracture repairs), MRI/CT scanning, and nurse clinics including rehabilitation appointments. There will also be the opportunity to become a Clinical Coach.
Hours of work will be Monday – Friday (a mixture of early and late shifts) with 1 weekend day every 4 weeks (corresponding weekday off). Bank holiday working on a rota basis.
A full driving licence is needed as you may be required to drive the practice ambulance to collect animals. Applicants should also be fit enough to cope with the physical demands of the role – lifting/restraining animals and cleaning.
