Our reception staff are the friendly faces who provide that vital link between pet owners and the rest of the practice. They are always happy to help with your queries and concerns.

<p>Amy joined the practice in 2015 after a career break to look after her young son. having previously worked as a zookeeper for 5 years. She enjoys the challenge of working in a veterinary practice and seeing a different type of animal care to her previous career. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, particularly enjoying a nice ice cream in the park.</p>

<p>Fiona Russell came to Abington in 2006 having worked as a veterinary receptionist for many years in at a veterinary hospital in Hertfordshire. She works at the Wellingborough road surgery.</p>

<p>Leanne joined Abington Park after 14 years of being a nursery nurse. The change in career came after having her daughter, she now also has a son, so when she’s not working she is kept very busy! A lot of her spare time is spent with her family outside exploring local parks, and if not, she enjoys catching up with friends for nice meal without interruption!!</p>

<p>Jazmin joined the practice in 2014 after graduating with a BScHon in Applied Animal Studies. In 2016 she became the Referral Receptionist for all APVG practices and often works at all three sites. In her spare time she enjoys taking her rescue dog Butch out for family walks and spending time with friends.</p>

<p>Bron joined the practice as a part time receptionist in 2005 and became full time when Abington Park Vets acquired the Acorn Surgery in St James in 2007. Bron works mostly at the Acorn Surgery, where she enjoys being a little more hands on in assisting the vets on a daily basis. She has 2 children who have now flown the nest, leaving room for her 5 crazy cats, 5 chickens and a large tank of tropical fish. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, computing, DIY and leaving all the cooking to her long suffering husband!</p>

<p>Sue has had many years’ experience as a PA in London, and more recently has had success as an Artisan Baker and an Artist, currently working on various Pet Portraits. She joined Abington Park Vets in January 2016 and thoroughly enjoys meeting the clients and their pets. Sue has an elderly cat and an adolescent tortoise, who keep her very busy!</p>

<p>Hayley joined Abington park in July 2016 having previously worked in animal welfare for 8 years. Her favourite aspect of the job is getting to know owners and their pets. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her young family and her own pets; two boisterous Labradors and two tortoises!</p>

<p>Sarah joined APVG in 2016 after working in animal-related fields for the last few years, and now feels very settled in the Receptionist role after finding the right career path for her.  She has also home studied Evolutionary Biology and Zoology to gain further knowledge of the animal world.  In her spare time she enjoys games, reading, the pub, comedy and yoga, and loves her two cats very much!</p>
