Our team of  highly qualified and experienced veterinary nurses work with our vets to provide the highest standard of care for your pets- 24/7. Our nurses run clinics, assist our vets with surgery and care for hospitalised patients.

<p>Gemma started nursing in 1998 and qualified in 2002. She started her nursing career at the Avenue Veterinary Hospital in Kettering and undertook her training at the College of Animal Welfare in Huntingdon. She joined Abington Park Veterinary Group in 2003. Her main interests are internal medicine and critical care nursing. One of her key roles as VN Manager is standardising the level of nursing in all the disciplines, through continual training, to ensure our nursing care is delivered to the highest standard. In her spare time she enjoys walking her dog, attending keep fit classes, socialising with friends and family and indulging a serious passion for cooking.</p>

<p>Kay qualified in 1999 at the College of Animal Welfare and has worked at Abington Park Surgery since 1993. She takes on many different roles within the practice. Kay is one of the oncology nurses and is also responsible for the running of the practice ambulance and drug/ stock control and equipment management. She has a keen interest in Veterinary Medicine and Chemotherapy. Outside of work she is a wife and mother of two, and tries to fit in gardening and cooking in her spare time!</p>

<p>Rebecca trained at Abington Park Vets and Qualified as veterinary nurse in January 2010. She currently works with post operative patients providing rehabilitation and is based at the Moulton surgery. Rebecca also has a keen interest in reptiles and other exotic species and previously completed a foundation course in Herpetology and worked alongside exotic animals at a safari park.</p>

<p>Katy qualified as a VN in 2006 – She studied her Vet Nursing NVQ at Moulton college whilst employed with Abington Park Veterinary Group. Katy has also attained a Diploma of Higher Education Certificate in Clinical Veterinary Nursing and a Diploma of Advanced Veterinary Nursing. She has a passion for orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery and coordinates the nursing team at our Moulton branch. Her spare time is spent mainly studying but also in the gym training, kick boxing and horse riding.</p>

<p>Anna is a Senior Surgical RVN who joined Abington Park Veterinary Group in 2008 as part of the Moulton orthopaedic team. She is particularly interested in orthopaedic surgeries, radiography, patient care and rehabilitation. Outside of work Anna enjoys looking after her daughter and riding/competing in dressage, walking the dogs and being in the great outdoors!</p>

<p>Verity joined the practice in October 1998, where she completed her VN training. She gained her Advanced Surgical Veterinary Nursing Diploma in January 2010. She now works part time at the Moulton surgery after taking time out to have her three children. Her main work interests are theatre practice and surgery. She also enjoys spending time at her local gym, shopping and looking after her children.</p>

<p>Jo is a Senior Surgical Nurse at Moulton. She qualified in 1990 and gained the Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing (Surgical) in 1999. After travelling around Australia in 1999 Jo settled in Sydney, where she worked for six years at a Small Animal Specialist Centre. She has a keen interest in surgery and anaesthesia. Jo’s spare time is filled with looking after her two young children!</p>

<p>Sarah spent 10 years working with the PDSA helping to treat animals in need, before spending 4 years at Willows Referral Centre to further her nursing skills. Sarah joined Abington Park Veterinary Group in 2015.</p>

<p>Alice joined us in 2008 as a full time laboratory technician. Since graduating in 2004 with a degree in Equine Science, Alice has worked in hospital laboratories and at the Royal Veterinary College, with haematology being her particular area of interest. Outside of work Alice enjoys horse riding and cooking.</p>

<p>Lisa has been in working in veterinary practice since 1998 and qualified as a veterinary nurse in May 2008.She joined Abington Park Vets in April 2010. Lisa enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing, especially surgery and caring for the inpatients throughout their stay with us. Outside of work Lisa also has a keen equine interest and enjoys caring for her own pets, which include 2 cats and an English Bull Terrier who are very much part of her family!</p>

<p>Amy has been nursing since 1999 and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2009. She enjoys emergency nursing and has worked in various emergency roles for the past 7 years as well as first opinion practices. Amy joined Abington Park as part of our emergency night team 2015 after having her daughter in the summer of 2014. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband, daughter and their one-eyed cat called Blink, and baking and sleeping when she gets the chance!</p>

<p>My name is Kate. I have a honors degree in BSc (Hons) Applied Animal Studies and graduated in 2014. I love doing charity work with various animal charities which includes volunteering, fundraising and fostering. I have a great interest in wildlife and also enjoy creating my own sewing projects and swimming. I enjoy caring for my own animals at home which include my tortoises and very spoilt cat.</p>

<p>Adam has been with Abington Park Veterinary Group since November 2011 and is currently a Vet student at The Royal Veterinary College. Adam enjoys all aspects of his job but has a special interest in emergency & critical care, exotic animal care, infectious disease, lab and behaviour. He has 2 horses, Silencio and Bully, and 6 dogs in Spain (with his parents) and a dog called Fred, the Cocker Spaniel with him in the UK. He also enjoys going to the cinema, running and is a regular horse rider.</p>

<p>Nicole joined Abington Park Vets in August 2014 as a part time receptionist at the Moulton College practice after working in a pet shop for 2 years as a sales assistant. She is very passionate about animal care and welfare after attending a 5 year course at Moulton College and hopes to one day to continue to develop her skills and passion into becoming a veterinary nurse. Most of her spare time is spent with her young daughter and she particularly loves taking her out horse riding.</p>
